BackPacks for the streets

I joined the amazing team @backpacksforthestreet, a non-profit here in NYC that provides the homeless with backpacks full of much needed supplies. The mission is to bring compassion and dignity to the streets, helping to make the lives of the homeless easier. Its about providing hope and care to people who feel invisible, forgotten and that they don’t matter.

Founded by Jeffrey Newman and Jayson Conner in 2018, they have distributed over 22, 700 backpacks with food, necessities and COVID supplies, the latter including more than 325 gallons of hand sanitizer alone, over 25000 face masks, and 5,000 meals, sleeping bags, coats, shoes and other life-saving items.

Every dollar donated goes directly to provide food, toiletries, necessities, clothing, hot meals, and Coronavirus-fighting supplies to the men and women who are struggling with homelessness.
